Beryl started her legal career as an office junior way back in 1980. Then she progressed to Legal Secretary in Conveyancing and qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer in 2002. She worked as a Conveyancing Manager for a medium sized firm in Bolton from 2003 to 2011. She joined her current firm in 2013 and was promoted to Head of Residential Conveyancing in 2018. She has 40 years experience in conveyancing, 21 of which she is as a Licensed Conveyancer. She is able to deal with all types of transactions including (but not limited to) Sale and Purchase of Leasehold, Freehold Properties (registered and unregistered), New Build Sales and Purchases, Shared Ownership Equity Release, Right to Buy etc. The main thing for Beryl is to finally work her own hours. After working 9-5 all her working life, she is now looking forward to a more flexible role.

Over the last 20 years, Diane has worked in a variety of legal practices, from large multi-service firms and volume conveyancer to small high-street firms. She has gained a broad and varied experience as a result, which covers many of the problems or issues that tend to crop up in residential conveyancing transactions. She was a director of a high-street conveyancing practice and Head of Legal Practice for that firm for several years, which involved her in not just running transactions but also management of staff and dealing with client complaints or concerns, as well as covering compliance and other regulatory responsibilities for the firm, such as policy development and training. She has learned to deal with clients and business partners of different backgrounds (she has acted for peers, celebrities and other high net worth clients as well as for first-time buyers and less affluent individuals). She tries to build a rapport with all of them, so that the stresses of the conveyancing / moving home process are minimised as much as possible by a pleasant working relationship.

Absolutely, you can decide how many cases you take up to the maximum agreed capacity.

Will you monitor the number of files I have?

Yes, to comply with regulatory obligations, we’ll agree a capacity that works for you, and we’ll review this with you regularly.

Will I get guaranteed capacity?

There are opportunities to take work from our various work streams to hit capacity, alternatively you can supply your own work to that level.

Where will my work come from?

This will be your choice. You can either supply your own work or this can be allocated to you via our various work channels.

What aspects of the case will be my responsibility?

You will have responsibility for the case from start to finish but our central hub will support you in relation to quoting, onboarding, chasing, accounts and post completion.

Will I have a guaranteed level of income / number of cases?

You can set your own income levels depending on your desired capacity levels.
